Bryn’s career pathway within Care Plus Group is an inspiration to anybody who would like a career within Health and Social Care.
When Bryndis started a voluntary Employability placement back in June 2013 at the Curzon Centre as a Trainee Support Worker, never in her wildest dreams did she realise where this would lead. In September 2013 she was successful in gaining an Apprentice Health Care Assistant position with the 360 Care Community Nursing Team, and it was from here that her career journey really took off!
After completing her apprenticeship in March 2015, Bryn was successful in gaining a substantive Health Care Assistant role. Beginning to realise what she was capable of, Bryn applied for and was successful in gaining the role of Associate Practitioner. Not only did she have to get to grips with a new role – it also meant that Bryn would have to attend University, as gaining a Health & Social Care Foundation Degree was a requirement of the role.
This week Bryn was given the news that she has been successful in attaining her Level 5 Foundation Degree – a proud moment not only for Bryn and her family, but also the Employability Team, who have followed Bryn’s career closely.
Amanda Thomas, Apprenticeship Development Officer who supported Bryndis throughout her earlier apprenticeship says, “I am so proud of Bryn – she has come so far and worked so hard – she really deserves her success”.
