Camilla is all smiles as she gains success with her new job role as Home Care Assistant.
Camilla’s journey with Employability Services started a few short weeks ago when she showed interest in gaining some support to get back into work after being out of the workplace; raising her children and grandchildren.
During that time Camilla dedicated her time to caring for her mother in the last years of her life as well as another family member very close to her; all whilst raising her own family.
Believing the time was now right to start her own career, Camilla was unsure where to start. Knowing she had a caring nature and with support from her Employability Support Officer, Camilla received assistance to write her CV and valuable interview preparation. This proved very successful as Camilla soon gained a permanent position with a local Home Care Agency.
Camilla says she “…is now looking forward to building on her existing experience and having a more financially secure future”.
Tracy Chaplin, her Employability Support Officer stated that “Camilla was very determined to gain employment and I could see her confidence improve each time we met”.
