Care Plus Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Watson as its new Chair, replacing the outgoing Colin Childs, with effect from July 1, 2021.
A registered nurse with over 35 years of experience, Paul has held several senior posts across primary care, secondary care, and commissioning, as well as having significant independent sector experience. Paul has also been a Non-Executive Director of Care Plus Group for the past three years.
Paul is a previous Trustee of Lindsey Lodge Hospice, as well as a past Chair of the Yorkshire and Humber Board of the Royal College of Nursing.
As well as having provided expert advice at a national level around safer staffing levels of nursing, Paul also practises as an Independent Celebrant, conducting person centred funeral and celebration of life services.
Commenting on the appointment, Care Plus Group Chief Executive, Jane Miller said:

Paul has been with us for several years in various roles and therefore knows the organisation extremely well. His experience within the sector will be a great asset to us moving forwards.

Colin has helped us lay some strong foundations and pushed us further during his time with us both as Chair and previously as Non-Executive Director. We wish Colin well and hope to see him in some capacity within Care Plus Group again in the future.”

Care Plus Group is the main provider of adult community health and social care services in North East Lincolnshire, employing over 800 members of staff.
