Care Plus, the main provider of community health and social care services in North East Lincolnshire, has been successful in gaining ISO 9001:2008 accreditation.

ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) is a Quality Management System designed to provide assurance about the quality of our services to key stakeholders: Commissioners, Partner Organisations, Regulators such as CQC and those people that we care for.

Jane Miller, Chief Operating Officer said:
“It is with tremendous pride as Chief Operating Officer that I am able to make this announcement and I would like to thank everyone involved in this process for their hard work and diligence . The ISO 9001 Standard is recognised internationally as the gold standard for quality management and we are the first organisation in our sector to have achieved this. This is an amazing achievement.

“ISO 9001 is probably the most recognised Quality Management Standard across the globe and to achieve accreditation as an organisation of just over three years old is a remarkable achievement. This accreditation will have many benefits for the organisation and the people who use our services, including improving quality and an assurance that services are of a high standard.

“The certificating auditor paid particular attention to praising the high standards and caring attitude of all of the staff she had met during the course of her visit and that Care Plus was an organisation that ‘clearly couldn’t do enough for those in our care’ and ‘it was evident that staff from across the organisation consistently went the extra mile in their roles’”.
