Care4All marks end of its first successful year

Care4all, the local charity for older people and people with disabilities celebrated its first anniversary on April 1.

Part of the Care Plus Group, Care4all was established as a charity on April 1, 2013 with the full support and backing of the Care Plus Group Board.

The development of Care4all as a charity has allowed the services they deliver to grow and develop and make them more sustainable for the future. They have also already been able to expand into delivering new services focusing on those which deliver person centred care.

As a charity Care4all can fundraise, access different income streams and benefit from working in partnership with other organisations. Whist a legally separate organisation, Care4all benefits from being part of the Care Plus Group with access to support and the advantages of being part of a larger group.

During the past year the charity has made great strides in improving services for local people. The organisation has achieved Investors in People accreditation and gone from being relatively unheard of to gaining a credible reputation as a local charity.  Care4all has also launched the Big Draw lottery as a way to generate extra income.

Some of the key achievements of the last year include:

- Opened an additional café and expanded catering services

- Developed the Friends4all project

- Expanded Meals Plus to deliver a satellite service from Immingham and also the introduction of the teatime snack pack service

 - From April will be delivering a personalised supported living service through an innovative service fund model

- The holiday chalet had a very successful summer season and bookings for the 2014 season are going very well.

- PASS (Personal Assistant Support Solutions) has grown significantly

Colin Childs, Chairman of Care Plus Group said:
“On behalf of all the members of Care Plus Group, I would like to congratulate Care4All on celebrating their first anniversary since forming as a charity.
“We took the decision a year ago to give Care4All the freedom and flexibility to develop and fundraise in the most appropriate ways to support the local people who choose their services.  Care4All’s development in just 12 months has been most impressive.  Their Investors in People accreditation is a great achievement that independently verifies that they put people first.  Care4All provides great services at the heart of the community that local people continue to choose.  That is why Care Plus Group is so proud to have Care4All as part of our family.”

Geoff Lake, Chairman of Care4all added:
“It has been a remarkable first year in the development of Care4all as a vibrant and expanding charity.

“Despite its fledgling status it has demonstrated a remarkable ability to expand its services, provide for greater numbers of individuals, innovate in its delivery and plan for a successful future. It is clearly here to stay and serve the citizens of North East Lincolnshire.

“Public services and Local Authorities continue to face a difficult financial future and we will need to respond to this with energy and commitment and new ideas. I am confident we will do so and anticipate the continued support of the Care Plus Group remaining very important to us.”
