The Care Plus Group Community Cardiology Team have been in operation for 3 years and are going from strength to strength, with a larger team enabling them to see more patients and the introduction of a new patient self-check in screen at reception.
The team has increased in size from the initial 4 to a team of 7 with the addition of Dr Mark Walters as a second Consultant Cardiologist with Dr Robert Bain, Lynn Bayes joining reception and Margaret Hill as Bank Clinical Physiologist.
The service has also launched a new self-check in screen at reception to allow patients to check themselves in.
Dr Mark Walters, Consultant Cardiologist said:
“The new self-check in screen is more convenient for patients, especially during times when there is no one on reception or during extended access hours. We’re pleased to be the first service within Care Plus Group to have a patient self-check in screen and are looking at other ways of using technology to improve the patient experience.”
Rob Coulbeck, IT Infrastructure Manager at F4 IT Ltd said:
“We always endeavour to help our customers to make the best use of technology to improve services for both patients and staff so it was great to be involved in this project.
“We look forward to working with the team again in the future on any new technology requirements they may need.”
