Care Plus Group’s Employability Services has been shortlisted for the Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber Apprenticeship Awards for NHS Employer of the Year.

The team won this award last year and are hoping for success for the second year running in these regional awards.

One of the Apprentices supported by Employability, Bryndis Halldorsson, has been shortlisted for the category of Clinical Apprentice of the Year. Bryndis is based at Freeman Street Resource Centre with the 360 team as an Apprentice Health Care Assistant and started her apprenticeship framework in September 2013.

Sharon Stead, Employability Services Manager at Care Plus said:

“To be shortlisted a subsequent year for ‘NHS Employer of the Year’ is a testament to the continuous quality and development of Employability Services. Bryndis has done amazing to be shortlisted for ‘Clinical Apprentice of the Year’, she is another shining example of the benefits of employing apprenticeships to ‘grown your own’ staff. Last year another apprentice supported by Employability, Colette Gibson, achieved highly commended for ‘Non Clinical Apprentice of the Year.”
