Care Plus Group Services set up stalls at a Health & Social Care Recruitment Event to discuss careers and opportunities with the general public.
On March 15th, representatives from our Care Plus Group (CPG) services talked to the general public about how to get their start in the Health & Social Care job market. CPG had a range of staff from Employability Services, Intermediate Care at Home, Human Resources, Community Inpatient Unit and Fairways Care Home.
The space was also filled with countless other organisations and businesses from North East Lincolnshire. Here individuals took to the stalls to learn about starting careers as Mental Health Specialists, Care Workers, Nurses, Children’s Social Workers and much more.
In attendance were also representatives from: St Andrew’s Hospice, Lincolnshire Quality Care Services, Bradley Care Home, Hales Home Care, Compass Go, HICA Group, Elysium Health Care, Nurtrio, Open Care Group, Carers Support, Focus, NAViGO, School Nurses, NELC Children’s Social Workers, Families First, Blue Bird Care Agency, British Red Cross, Ethical Recruitment Agency, Mencap and Job Centre Plus.
We asked Deputy Manager of Employability Services, Amanda Thomas, what she thought of the event. She said:
“The event was a great opportunity for employers within Health & Social Care to get together to celebrate the Sector and promote the variety of careers available for people within the local community.
“It was a great success, with delegates and job seekers giving very positive feedback regarding how well the event was organised, how they liked the accessibility of the venue and how much they had benefitted from the day.”
