Samuel is celebrating securing a full time post with the Integrated Care Board.

Samuel contacted Employability Services for support to source a voluntary placement to further enhance his administration skills. After meeting with his Employability Support Officer Sandie to discuss and explore his aspirations, Samuel explained his confidence had taken a knock too.

Sandie looked at other opportunities within the Health and Social Care sector where Samuel could gain experience in SystmOne to enhance his existing skill set. An interview was then arranged at the Discharge Team for Sam to discuss undertaking a voluntary placement. Sam was successful in securing the placement with the discharge team and quickly settled into the role. A short time afterwards, Sam was invited for an interview for an administration post and has been successful in securing a full time post with the Integrated Care Board.

Samuel had a knock in confidence when he first came to see me and it been great seeing his confidence come back with a vengeance, since starting to work with Employability Services and also gaining full time work too! Well done Sam! I am really proud of you!

Gemma, Sam’s Line Manager Added:

Sam has been an asset to the team, he has refreshed his skills and been successful in gaining full time employment as a Business Administration Assistant, we wish him well in his new role.

I would like to say that I’ve felt part of the team rather quickly, and I would strongly recommend this to other people who want the opportunities I have had along with the training and experience that has allowed me to progress back into administration.
