A huge well done to Jack who recently began a Traineeship in Construction with East Marsh Construction CiC. Jack is a true inspiration as he has had to overcome many personal barriers to get to where he is today. Jack admits he found school very challenging and he did not achieve as much as he would have liked. However, he enrolled at College in Rochdale, where he lived at the time, and completed Level 1 in Construction.
Within the last year, Jack moved to Grimsby and set up home at the YMCA Foyer where he has lived for the past 10 months. He has shown great determination and dedication to further enhance his functional and employability skills. Jack, keen to pursue a career within the Construction sector, contacted Care Plus Group Employability Services and with their help was successful in securing a Traineeship Opportunity.
Jack’s site supervisor said: “Jack tries hard in all areas and is very punctual. Jack hopes to progress onto a Kickstart programme, a new government initiative.”
Michelle Lister, Employability Support Assistant added: “I am extremely proud of Jack and how hard he has worked to achieve all he has and I have every confidence he will continue to do well. Well done Jack!!”
