The Kickstart programme is a Government initiative aimed at supporting young people aged 16-24 years onto an employment pathway by providing funding to create job placements.
Jade was referred for the role via her DWP Work Coach to Employability Services who supported Jade throughout the recruitment process and will continue to do so during employment.
When asked what the Kickstart opportunity means to her, Jade stated: “The Kickstart opportunity means a lot to me as I have successfully gained a job from it. Going through the Kickstart programme has helped me find a job that I am passionate about and I think it has opened up a new opportunity for me, in which I can build experience and knowledge in my chosen field of work.”
Annette Dray, Employability Services Support Officer, stated: “Jade takes on new challenges and is enjoying learning new tasks. She is feeling very positive about her role and is enjoying the opportunity to develop new skills. I wish her every success.”
