The biggest health and social care employers in the region are coming together at an event to showcase the wide ranging careers available in the sector locally.
The first ever North East Lincolnshire Health and Social Care Careers Event is taking place at Centre4, Wootton Road, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN33 1HE on Wednesday 28th February 2018. Doors will open to the public from 9.00am to 12noon. Tickets can be booked via visiting Eventbrite or by just coming along on the day.
This free public event will provide an opportunity to gain information from a wide range of health and social care employers, who will advise on the diverse range of health and social care careers available. There will be a number of stands and interactive activities, offering the opportunities to ‘have a go’ at certain aspects in order to provide a flavour of the roles, and to inspire attendees to consider the sector for their future careers.
Representatives from training providers, colleges and universities will be present to provide information regarding a variety of educational programmes available. A dedicated area for recruitment has also been allocated, providing details of current opportunities from employers across the North East Lincolnshire health and social care sector.
Norma Yarborough, Supported Employment Team Leader at Care Plus Group who is leading on the event said:
“Local organisations have worked really hard to facilitate this event within such a short period of time. This event highlights how successful partnership working can help local people achieve their aspirations to work within the sector.”
Sharon Stead, Chair of the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership, Health and Social Care Group said:
“This event was facilitated via the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership Health and Social Care group. The group delivers activities to address the current and future skills gap within the health and social care sector, through a focus on skills and employment.”
The event will be opened by the Mayor of North East Lincolnshire, Councillor Ron Shepherd.
