Quayside Medical Centre transfers to Care Plus Group

Ownership of Grimsby-based Quayside Medical Centre is to transfer to local social enterprise Care Plus Group from 21st August 2016.

Care Plus Group is an employee owned social business that provides community health and care services for adults of all ages across North East Lincolnshire. Established in 2011, Care Plus Group provides services such as community nursing, day services for older people and people with disabilities, intermediate care at home and the health and wellbeing collaboratives.

Quayside Medical Centre provides primary care (GP and nursing) services to registered patients from its base on Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby. Appointments are available from Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 6.30pm and the practice is currently taking on new patients.

Jane Miller, Chief Executive of Care Plus Group said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Quayside and its staff to Care Plus Group and we’re looking forward to working with Quayside and its patients and providing the high quality service that CPG prides itself on. Our Intermediate Care at Home Service was rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) earlier this year highlighting the importance we place on quality as an organisation.

“This is an exciting development for our organisation as it expands the range of services we provide, whilst also being complimentary to our core provision. As part of our business development strategy we have already acquired two new businesses in the past year – Open Door and Linwood House and Quayside brings this number to three. Open Door is a local GP Practice offering specialist services to the local East Marsh and wider North East Lincolnshire communities and Linwood House is a specialist residential detoxification and rehabilitation substance misuse unit based in Barnsley.”
