Raising Awareness of Dementia

The Health and Wellbeing Collaborative Dementia Awareness Team work across North East Lincolnshire to raise dementia awareness and signpost dementia patients and their carers to local services – and they are looking for people to join them.

The team, part of Care Plus Group, supports the needs of individuals with Dementia and their family/carers. It is made up of volunteers and using the cancer collaborative tried and tested method of public awareness, raises awareness by having stalls at local public events and handing out leaflets to signpost members of the public to their GP, the Alzheimer’s Society, Admiral Nurses, Friendship at Home and Memory Cafes etc.

Organisations or individuals who would like to help spread dementia awareness within North East Lincolnshire are welcome to come to the next planning meeting which will be held at Centre 4, Wootton Road, Nunsthorpe on the 1st Thursday of each month at 10:00am.
