Scrumptious Buffet Launch Success

On Tuesday 4th November, Care4all held the launch of their newest service – buffets. The launch saw a spectacular coming together of local business men and women as well as the Deputy Mayor of North East Lincolnshire, Cllr Cliff Barber.

A local charity, Care4all specialise in providing support for people with disabilities and older people. They do this in a variety of ways, varying from the running of 5 café’s across N. E. Lincs, which primarily employs people with disabilities, to the weekly groups meeting to learn about how to use new technology. These groups can be crucial to encouraging social inclusion in the community.

The Deputy Mayor and guests from the local community listened as a group of Care4all’s employees spoke about the value of their paid employment opportunities and what work means to them. Enterprise Manager Sean Brown told the guests that ‘to these young people, a job is far more than just a wage packet. It can be a lifeline. It can be a reason to leave the house and a way of combatting isolation. Enterprises such as the buffet service will provide an income that can be used to keep these individuals in employment, and can go to supporting our other valuable community projects.”

Catering Staff member Dean, who regularly works at Care4all’s Freshney Green Medical Centre Café, said that working for Care4all keeps him occupied, allows him to meet new people and widens his employment experience – not to mention allowing him to buy tickets to the football!

Deputy Mayor Cllr Cliff Barber said ‘Care4all have developed so much in the past 2 years, and they are doing some fantastic work – keep it up!”.

The buffet service offers a cost-effective solution to all occasions, from works team meetings and conferences to birthdays and weddings. You can pick up a menu now either from Care4all’s website http://www.care4all.org.uk/what-we-do/care4all-enterprises/buffet-service/, emailing buffets@care4all.org.uk or by simply popping into our Queen Street Health & Wellbeing Centre between the hours of 9am-4:30pm.
