Employment Services – working with employers

Would you like an additional motivated and enthusiastic team member?

For many businesses, having the skills and time to advertise, interview and appoint new team members is a challenge.

Our Business Support service takes away this hassle, providing high-quality, cost-effective and flexible recruitment and training methods.

Part of the Care Plus Group, we support employers to upskill and ‘grow their own’ workforce via a range of free and cost-effective recruitment initiatives and we can support your business to successfully recruit new staff.

We fully support the Participant and your existing employees, upskilling them and providing mentoring.

The result is an improved performing workforce that is motivated, with better employee satisfaction and increased staff retention.

What recruitment initiatives can we provide?

We provide a range of free and cost-effective recruitment initiatives for businesses across Northern Lincolnshire.

Paid Initiatives

Our paid initiatives provide payment for the individuals at National Apprenticeship Wage, National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage, depending on the age of the participant.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are a work-based training programme that allow participants to ‘earn as they learn’ and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Our apprenticeships are for ages 16 plus and a minimum of 12 months. Unlike other apprenticeships, there is no day-release to college as assessments are predominately work-based so you have the advantage of your apprentice working in your business throughout.

Internships

Internships are fixed-term graduate training initiatives that allow a business to recruit a graduate on a temporary or permanent basis, whilst giving the individual valuable work experience to complement their degree.

Internships are available for individuals aged 21 plus and must be for a minimum of 3 months.

Intermediate Labour Market opportunities (ILM)

An ILM is a unique fixed-term initiative that offers an opportunity for businesses to recruit on a fixed term basis whilst allowing individuals to gain valuable work experience.

It is available for people aged 16 plus and last between 3 and 12 months.

Voluntary Initiatives

For many people, a lack of work experience is a barrier to employment so we also offer a range of voluntary placement options which are no cost to employers.

Structured Voluntary Placements

A structured voluntary placement scheme is designed to support Participants to develop occupational skills and knowledge in a professional environment.

These are for people aged 16 plus, for a duration of up to 26 weeks and Participants will attend placement for a minimum of 16 hours a week.

Work Trials and Taster Days

This is an opportunity to try out a potential employee before offering them a job and to ensure the role and environment are suitable for the participant.

This initiative applies to people aged 16 plus and has a duration of up to 15 working days.

Young People’s Work Experience

This a work experience training opportunity for students with Special Educational Needs / Disabilities to gain skills, experience and knowledge within a real-life working environment.

There are two phases to the initiative; Phase 1 is 2 hours a week in Academic Term time and up to 7 weeks in duration. Throughout this phase we will provide one to one Employability Coach support.

The second phase lasts up to 39 weeks and consists of up to 6 hours a week. Again full support is given by our Employability Coach working with the participant to become fully independent.
