Community Governor and Deputy Chair of the Council of Governors
I have spent over 30 years involved in the Health Sector within North East Lincolnshire. I have worked with many health organisations, as outlined below.
During the late 1990’s I served with the CHC – Community Health Council & was Deputy chair. When this folded, it became an organisation called Link, which only lasted a few years due to government changes. During this time, I became a Non Exec Director of NLAG for around 7 years under Andrew North. Other groups I have been involved with are set out – Engage Group for the over 50’s – North East Lincolnshire Council (NELC) Councillor serving on Health Scrutiny and also became chair of NELC’s Health Scrutiny Panel. I was Cabinet Member covering – Adult social Care, Health & Wellbeing, Public Health, Culture & Heritage, NE Director on the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG ) Board. The above groups have provided me with a good understanding of health.
Now retired from politics, I am interested in using my skills and knowledge.
