Prior to moving to Grimsby my working career has been varied working in media, advertising, engineering and manufacturing beauty products. On moving to Grimsby I worked for 14 years for Sir Joseph Nickerson as a private secretary in his private finance and investment section.
After leaving Sir Joseph I spent 25 years as Welfare Manager in social care for Havelock Housing managing the wardens and their sheltered dwellings. I represented initially Havelock on the Board of Age UK NE Lincs but have been with Age UK now for over 20 years serving as Vice Chair and am currently Acting Chair.
